We are targeting construction of the new Royal George to be completed by Fall 2028.

Queen Street will remain open throughout construction. Victoria Street is our primary access point for most of the construction. Victoria Street may have occasional closures or reductions for larger deliveries, but we are working to keep those to a minimum. We have hired a traffic consultant to create a traffic plan, and we will proactively let the community know what to expect throughout the duration of this project.

Absolutely! Shaw has prepared the entire construction planning of the Royal George with this in mind.

We have identified dedicated off-site construction parking areas where all construction vehicles and construction workers’ personal vehicles are encouraged to park during construction. All Trades will be instructed not park on Queen Street, Victoria Street or on the local residential streets.

Street parking is available on Queen Street and side streets around Old Town as well as metered municipal parking lots throughout the Heritage District. Parking on Victoria will be slightly reduced to accommodate construction vehicle movement.

Construction is taking place primarily between 7am – 7pm, Monday – Friday to minimize disruption to our neighbours. Construction crews are always abiding by the NOTL bylaws for work outside these hours.
